PREDATOR RIDGE
Status – Planning

The Weir Course is set on a high ridge overlooking Lake Kalamalka on one side and the McKay Reservoir on the other. The property is fairly wide open and the routing takes full advantage by showcasing the stunning views of the land around. The opening holes take you to the best places to view Lake Kalamalka and the closing holes play along the McKay Reservoir.

While the course makes the most of the setting it was also carefully routed for playability. The site can be windy and the course was designed specifically to deal with strong winds. There are no more than two holes in the same direction, all the par threes and par fives play in completely different directions. Even the fairways are built with the wind in mind, featuring additional width for windy days and to allow for playing options in more placid conditions.

There is no earthmoving required with the routing. The natural ground contours will remain as they are and be an integral part of the experience. Many of the greens will be built right on grade for running approaches and extensive chipping areas will be created around the outside to provide players with lots of options in recovery. The bunkers will feature native grasses and a rugged appearance that will help the architecture blend in perfectly with the site.
